FENSTERBAU FRONTALE and HOLZ-HANDWERK 2016: New opening times, easier to reach the fair

  • The 10:00 start will help visitors avoid rush-hour traffic
  • Exhibition ticket includes price reductions on public transport
  • HOLZ-HANDWERK: 24-hour set-up time possible for first time

In postponing its opening times by an hour (new: 10:00 – 19:00, Saturday: 10:00 – 17:00) the combined FENSTERBAU FRONTALE and HOLZ-HANDWERK trade fair is taking account of the increase in traffic at recent events. Exhibitors and visitors will thus be able to avoid the main rush-hour traffic both in the mornings and in the evenings. Special offers and extra trains at peak periods will also make it possible to travel comfortably by rail and other forms of public transport. The successful exhibition duo will be opening its doors again from 16 to 19 March 2016 and will once again be attracting over 100,000 trade visitors to the Exhibition Centre in the Franconian capital.

The new opening times of FENSTERBAU FRONTALE and HOLZ-HANDWERK are:

Wednesday, 16 March to Friday, 18 March 2016: 10:00 – 19:00

Saturday, 19 March 2016: 10:00 – 17:00

"By postponing the opening times by an hour, we have been able to develop a solution together that is just what many exhibitors and visitors want," commented the two very pleased event organisers Elke Harreiss and Stefan Dittrich at NürnbergMesse. "In cooperation with the City of Nuremberg Traffic Department, we painstakingly analysed the level of traffic at the previous events and found that a later start to the trade fair would be the most effective way of allowing everyone involved to get here easily. In addition, using public transport at our specially reduced ticket prices represents a cheap and, most importantly, time-saving alternative."

Travelling without congestion: special public transport offers

The holders of exhibitor passes and visitors who have bought their tickets in advance can use public transport in Nuremberg free of charge. The same applies for visitors from Bavaria who travel by regional train to the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE and HOLZ-HANDWERK exhibition using the Deutsche Bahn special offer. In addition, the number of trains on the S3 suburban rail line will be increased at peak times so that greater use can be made of the Frankenstadion local train station as well as the Messe underground station. A shuttle bus will run from the train station to the exhibition site at regular intervals. The ICE ticket valid throughout Germany will also be available at the special price of €99 as usual. All the information about travelling to the joint exhibition is summarised clearly at:
